MONEY COMES, MONEY GOES: In the hands of APPLE

I have been forcing myself to keep track of my expenses countless of times already. One journal keeps on being wasted after another for it only ends up spoiled by my doodles, instead of being a money tracker. Then I decided that my iTouch would best fit the role. I started with Money Journal and iPiggy lite which are now trapped on the device, non-operational. Many thanks to the apple of my eyes, Balance, for keeping my savings safe. For the sake of tracking them, atleast. Although now, I just downloaded Money and Ace Budget Lite. I guess I need to commit myself to only one app, though. So, I have to say goodbye to the one I need to rub out soon after testing. Likewise, don’t get me wrong for I will try not to mess up another journal this time. It’s one of my New Year’s resolutions to keep my inventory updated all the time.

I almost forgot to mention Receipts which I think will be one of my favorites since I like keeping receipts. You can also attach voice memos to your notes.

The first step to save the money coming your way is to know where it goes unfeasibly. To budget is to cut. To control is to know. The finest thing you can do is to sing The First Cut is the Deepest while you simplify the equation of your expenses. Don’t bleed yet, the math here would be simple this way: SPEND LESS.

MAL-journalism
Misuse, Abuse, Lack of Maintenance

I recall the warranty agreement for vehicles.  If your car died on you due to MISUSE, ABUSE, and LACK of MAINTENANCE, you’re going to offset your warranty. The Service Manager at the dealership won’t grant you any goodwill for your own mistake. You can only regret. So, you better take care of it –religiously and immaculately.

This echoes the wretched story of the journalist Stephen Glass. The artless rule of thumb of car dealers and manufacturers: Misuse, Abuse, Lack of Maintenance, mirrors the three ethical issues in his attempt-for-easy-fame story.

COOLING DOWN WITH A STRANGER

A fluent little boy with his cheeks reddened after running some rounds in the oval caught my attention. I can see the sweat in his forehead while observing the people around him. I have mistaken him as the son of the couple sitting beside him in the stone bench.  Apparently, he is just a cute little neighbor of Ena, the girlfriend of Joni. They were the couple who tagged McNeil along with them for a jog.

OVERWHELMING INCONSISTENCIES

Delineating ‘Online Journalism’ and its quick trend development from a South East Asian perspective in contrast to how Americans would put it is quite out-of-focus. It is because they are all gearing towards the same approach-–catching up with the technology-going-across-the-board.

Sure, no one wants to be left behind. No matter how sluggish it’s working for other countries, they are launched to do the same movement. There’s no bright red difference. But, the inconsistency lies somewhere, and one definite aspect of it is in their ‘development rate’. America and Singapore developed way earlier than the others. A lot of factors would support it: the financial stability of one country, the way of governance in one administration and the rules being regulated in the whole state. I am now thinking that I don’t want to think about the future. How further and farther can they get with their radical mindset?

Nonetheless, I like the notion of ‘paywall’. In some ways, I am thinking that they constructed it so it could put equal emphasis on print media. They want people to think that they will get the same thing, as they pay for the same thing.
